Hi Krystyna,
I'm glad you like this site. Hopefully it will be a dynamic and interesting place where we can all share ideas.
I'm sorry to say that I too will not be able to attend the consortium this year. The situation in Israel is quite complicated at the moment; the senior faculty in all the universities around Israel are on strike...
All the best,
Keren

About Me:
I have been teaching the Holocaust for approximately 12 years, most recently as the Holocaust Educator for the Des Moines Jewish Federation.
Currently I am spending the year as a high school English and Reading teacher, where I work with a significant number of Afican, some of whom are witnesses to the atrocities which have occurred in their homelands.
During the previous two years I served as the Director of the Iowa Jewish Historical Society, and as such the curator of the Caspe Heritage Gallery. Concurrently I was an adjunct English Instructor at a local community college.
My current goal is to finish the manuscript I have been working on for the past two years, the story of a survivor who experienced 5 camps, beginning at the tender age of 13, and the horror of a death march to Dachua, where she stayed in a dispaced persons camp for 5 years, waiting to come to America.
I am married with 3 children, 2 cats, and a golden doodle puppy, Gracie. We live in a historic home in Des Moines, Iowa, which we are restoring and renovating in our "spare" time.
