It's fascinating to me that you have read so much...as for the tree planted in memory of your dad, yes, there is an organization that does that; it is called the Jewish National Fund. If someone sends a small donation and submits your father's name, a tree will be planted in his memory. Did this man agree to do that for you? How lovely! Hope you are well.
